Seattle, the city of rain. I knew I was signing up for that. I also knew that snow fell, but it was rare and usually a little amount. I knew we had snow days built into the school year, but usually it was used for icy conditions. I did not sign up for 4 inches of it!
The first 2 photos were taken about noon, the second set at 9 am. It snowed hard until 4:30!

Doesn't that start to bring back your BYU days. At least for me that was the only time I lived and worked and drove in the snow. Drive carefully.
This is an historic event, Mel! Your first winter in Seattle is a season that will go down in history! You're part of the famous snow of 2008!!! As a history teacher, I'm sure you can appreciate that!
I just hope you can fly our Christmas day!
HI Mel. Haven't checked your site in quite a while and I was obviously shocked to see that you are in Washington. We have had our share of cold down here but no snow (yet). We even had one day with rain and a high of only 48 degrees! Pretty crazy for HB. Hope you are enjoying your adventure and your teaching.
